What Our Students Say

I am aiming to be a director (cliche cause hahah) but I didn’t know where to start. I saw the name of that course and researched about the AD role and discovered a career so much interesting as directing! The class provided me with a near-accurate representation of how the industry actually works, and I wasn’t disappointed at all, best decision ever. It was very intense and pushed me beyond my limit. I was able to successfully direct my commercial. Another thing was the international atmosphere. It’s a topic we were discussing a lot with my classmates, the fact that everyone is so different, with different views and mindset and work ethic. It wasn’t just an AD course, it was an AD course through the lens of many different minds because we were learning a lot from each other with different backgrounds.

Shakila Bizimana, Assistant Directing Course

I had the opportunity to learn the art of stunts for actors. It was an exciting experience that not only expanded the range of my professional skills and gave me the opportunity to meet colleagues from different parts of the world, but also gave me new inspiration and faith in myself! For 7 days, we studied martial arts, the rules of handling weapons, increased our general physical fitness and, of course, implemented these skills in our acting skills. Thank you for the great opportunities and special thanks to the team of coaches, who worked with our group, as well as everyone with whom we shared this wonderful time of learning and working on the training ground.

Alla Poliakova, Stunts Course

I actually had a great time. It was very interesting to me to see the entire filmmaking process in action. And working with Todor, Nikolay Kerezov and the rest of the team was a great experience because they worked together so well, and taught us very useful things about the film industry. I like the idea of being able to choose either switch departments daily to see what you like the most. I definitely learned a lot and enjoyed both the process, and working with everyone.

Ani Yordanova, Intro to Film

Everything hurts but what an incredible week learning swordsmanship from some of the best stunts people and choreographers. Thanks Film Forge for the amazing opportunity to demonstrate the newly acquired skills to the Red Sonya directors. This is far from perfect but I still can’t believe we created, rehearsed and filmed 6 sword choreographies in 2 days!

Krassy Nova, Sword Stunts Course

I was in the acting course with Atanas Srebrev, and that was one of the craziest things that ever happened to me. I got to learn so many insights of the filmmaking process and got to meet so many amazing and talented people. Ever since the course I work in the Film Industry and got the chance to be part of 5 big projects this year, while graduating high school and it’s all thanks to the people I met and you guys. To this day we still hang out with my colleagues from the course and honestly we became very good friends. Being part of Film Forge feels so right and so good that words cannot even express. Forever grateful for you guys and can’t wait to see you again in January!

Hristiyan Krastev, Acting Course

Doing my internship at Film Forge was incredibly valuable both professionally and personally. It was a rewarding experience in every way, allowing me to gain insight into the audiovisual industry while working with true professionals. From the very first shoots, I appreciated the team’s professionalism and learned so much from the projects that came up. Additionally, it was a fantastic opportunity that later opened up career doors I never thought possible. I highly recommend the experience, as I believe Film Forge is the perfect place in Europe to step into the audiovisual world.

Jennifer Gonzalez, Intern

Intro to Film helped me realize how a production is made – from the beginning until the end; and what roles and duties there are in the crew. Before coming to Film Forge I knew I wanted to do acting only but the course Intro to Film broadened my horizons and helped me discover for myself that I want to be more than that – I have ideas and I want to put them on screen. What I liked the most in this course is that we learned by doing. Todor Chapkanov has demonstrated how a script can turn into a movie and I loved to observe the magic of that – the magic of movie-making.

Iliyana Semerdzhieva, Intro to Film

Whatever you want to be in a platform of movie, I think if you come up to this place your dreams will come true

Muhammed Tunkara, Acting Course

I’ve never imagined there are going to be so many people from different countries, such as Spain, Greece and so on. And it was a real pleasure to communicate with all of them. I found this course very helpful, because I was practicing a lot on set.

Mario Pendov, Sound Course

This course is well worth the investment. Not only do you get an incredible education, but you also connect with amazing people in the film industry, all within the massive Nu Boyana Film Studios. It’s incredible how versatile and imaginative the studio spaces are. If you’re going to take this course, I highly recommend staying on campus so you’ll be closer to the action. The food and espresso in the café is also pretty good!

Pauline Dorsey, Stunts Course
