Vocational Training

It was an awesome experience. Working alongside professionals and being on real sets was so cool to me. I learned a lot of new terms and techniques that I’m gonna implement in my own work, so the course was definitely worth it. Thanks to everyone involved, really grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a hands-on program!

Since I have done acting before, I needed to come to a place where I can build a good foundation for it, and to know better how I can start my career. This place gave me a real experience on a movie set, which helped me so much understand on a deeper level what I should change about myself for the better. I had the great opportunity to be taught by Giles Alderson, which helped me so much to grow as an actor and as a person. I advise everyone interested in movie acting to join it, since you learn so much in such a little time, all the valuable foundation you need for an acting career. 

Being at Nu Boyana Film Studios was an incredibly valuable experience and the best decision I could have made for my first professional step abroad as an actress. Our mentor, Giles Alderson, with his guidance, truly inspired me. He’s so supportive, and he’s helping me with his dedication to grow, also deepen my understanding of screen acting in a real studio environment.

I’m very grateful for the professionalism and the creative atmosphere. It was a meaningful experience that I will carry with me in my professional journey. Hope to work with you again!

The acting course was an incredibly valuable and inspiring experience. The program was very intensive and full of practice — from stunt training to working on a real film set and taking part in the filming process itself. It gave a true feeling of how everything works behind the scenes and what it means to be part of a production. Such a great team, and special thanks to Giles for his amazing approach — it was always easy, supportive, and fun to work together. Looking forward to future projects together. Thank you for such a high level of training! 

My internship provided me with a lot of insight into the industry. From working on different tasks in the offices of the studio to being on set in various positions, I not only got the opportunity to learn how a movie set works, but also to adapt and come back for the next production more prepared and aware of what my team needed. I am leaving NU Boyana with a very important asset – experience. I am forever grateful for the opportunity and trust I got from the Film Forge team, and I am looking forward to the next time I get to work with them.

The AD Course provided me with a near-accurate representation of how the industry actually works. It was the best decision ever. It was very intense and pushed me beyond my limit. I was able to successfully direct my commercial. Another thing was the international atmosphere. It’s a topic we were discussing a lot with my classmates, the fact that everyone is so different, with different views and mindset and work ethic. It wasn’t just an AD course, it was an AD course through the lens of many different minds because we were learning a lot from each other with different backgrounds.

It was an exciting experience that not only expanded the range of my professional skills and gave me the opportunity to meet colleagues from different parts of the world, but also gave me new inspiration and faith in myself! For 7 days, we studied martial arts, the rules of handling weapons, increased our general physical fitness and, of course, implemented these skills in our acting skills. Thank you for the great opportunities and special thanks to the team of coaches, who worked with our group, as well as everyone with whom we shared this wonderful time of learning and working on the training ground.

I actually had a great time. It was very interesting to me to see the entire filmmaking process in action. And working with Todor, Nikolay Kerezov and the rest of the team was a great experience because they worked together so well, and taught us very useful things about the film industry. I like the idea of being able to choose either switch departments daily to see what you like the most. I definitely learned a lot and enjoyed both the process, and working with everyone.

Everything hurts but what an incredible week learning swordsmanship from some of the best stunts people and choreographers. Thanks Film Forge for the amazing opportunity to demonstrate the newly acquired skills to the Red Sonya directors. This is far from perfect but I still can’t believe we created, rehearsed and filmed 6 sword choreographies in 2 days!

I was in the acting course with Atanas Srebrev, and that was one of the craziest things that ever happened to me. I got to learn so many insights of the filmmaking process and got to meet so many amazing and talented people. Ever since the course I work in the Film Industry and got the chance to be part of 5 big projects this year, while graduating high school and it’s all thanks to the people I met and you guys. To this day we still hang out with my colleagues from the course and honestly we became very good friends. Being part of Film Forge feels so right and so good that words cannot even express. Forever grateful for you guys and can’t wait to see you again in January!
