Nu Boyana Film Studios is one of the largest and most significant movie cinema production centers in Europe. Located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain in Sofia, it has been a major hub for international filmmaking since it opened in 1962, originally as the state-owned Boyana Film.
The studio is renowned for its diverse standing sets and cost-effective high-end production facilities, which have attracted numerous Hollywood blockbusters as The Expendables, 300: Rise of an Empire, London Has Fallen, The Hitman’s Bodyguard and Hellboy.
