We are proud to support an incredible woman, Mariana Pencheva, whose strength and compassion are changing lives. When orphanages were closing, Mariana opened her home and her heart, taking in 14 children and 4 dogs, giving them safety, care, and a sense of family when they needed it most.
In January 2023, we organised a 2-week educational program for the children at Nu Boyana Film Studios. We created an experience designed to introduce them to the creative and technical world of filmmaking.
During the program, the children spent two to three days in different departments, learning from experienced professionals from Grip, Lighting, Wardrobe, and Garage, as well as Makeup, SFX Makeup, and costume patina for film. They didn’t just observe the process, they were truly involved. Curious, enthusiastic, and full of energy, the kids asked questions, eagerly participated in every activity.
This initiative is something we are deeply proud of. Children like these need support, belief, and positive role models around them, and Mariana is a woman truly deserving of kindness, respect, and a strong, supportive community. By standing beside her and the children, we hope we contributed not only knowledge, but confidence and inspiration.
Perhaps this first encounter with filmmaking will spark a future career. Maybe one day, one of these children will return to the industry not as a visitor, but as a professional.
Kindness has the power to open doors, change perspectives, and shape futures. Sometimes, all it takes is a moment, a chance, and people who care.
